Cocktails, Anyone?

A
well-stocked bar is a must for every host. The basics you’ll need are:

Stemware: Pilsner glasses, wine goblets, old-fashioned glasses, martini glasses, brandy snifters, champagne flutes
Accessories: Silver ice bucket, ice tongs, crystal decanters, pitcher for water, martini/cocktail shaker, strainer, stirrer
Liquor: Scotch, gin, vodka, cognac, port, Cointreau, Triple Sec, champagne, red wine, white wine
Mixers: Bitters, 7-Up, Coca Cola, cranberry juice, lime juice, orange juice, tonic water, vermouth (dry sod sweet)
Miscellaneous: Lemons, limes, olives, sharp knife, small cutting board, bar towel, coasters, toothpicks, cocktail napkins, coasters

Vodka Gimlet
2 ounces vodka
1/2 ounce Rose’s unsweetened lime juice
Combine the ingredients in a mixing glass with several ice cubes.
Stir well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.


Champagne Cocktail
I sugar cube
I splash cognac
I splash bitters
4 1/2 ounces champagne or sparkling wine


Cosmopolitan
1 1/4 ounce vodka
1/4 ounce Triple Sec
1/4 ounce orange juice
Splash cranberry juice
1 orange rind
Pour all the ingredients except the orange rind into a mixing glass. Stir
and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with the orange rind.
