New York, NY (January 12, 1998) — Colin Cowie, today’s
most sought after wedding designer and contributing editor to InStyle magazine,
will share his secrets in his newest book titled Colin Cowie Weddings
when it is released in retail book stores nationwide on February 1, 1998. The coffeetable
style book, published by Little Brown, offers the modern bride-to-be an alternative
approach to wedding design — one that helps create a wedding that uniquely expresses
a couple’s personality, taste, and style from start to finish. With over 300 full
color and 250 black and white photographs of Cowie’s creations, Colin Cowie
Weddings is the first book for the bride on how to design a wedding. The
book is presented in sections that fully describe and illustrate how Cowie custom
designed events for many of his clients, including celebrities Don Henley, Lisa Kudrow,
Kenny G and Holly Robinson’s wedding celebrations.

Colin Cowie Weddings will retail in the U.S. for approximately $66.00
and in Canada for $88.00; it is the second book the author has written, the first,
titled Effortless Elegance with Colin Cowie, was published by HarperStyle.
During the months of January, February and March, Cowie will be making a series of
special appearances throughout the nation, speaking about wedding celebration and
expressing personal style through entertaining. Concurrently, Cowie’s signature line
of fine china, crystal and silverware, Colin Cowie for Lenox, will also be
released to fine retail stores throughout the U.S.

Colin Cowie was born in Kitwe, Zambia and educated in South
Africa. After moving to the United States in 1985, he formed Colin Cowie Lifestyle,

premier event planning, catering and design company with offices in New York and

homes, furnishings and entire lifestyles. Colin is a contributing editor
