Home Turf Sports Bar

AAD was faced with revitalizing an existing bar facility on Concourse C of the Las Vegas McCarren International Airport. AAD responded with a state-of-the-art sports bar/retail snack venue. In conjunction with the Host Marriott Services Corporation and the NFL, AAD combined high tech technology with neighborhood tavern elements to create an exciting, vibrant and comfortable facility for the weary traveler. An ambiance was designed for travelers to remove themselves from the hustle and bustle of the airport.

Upon visiting the facilities, featured elements include a four by four video screen and the multiple monitors throughout. There are enough monitors, appropriately placed so that a clear view of the action is always available to every patron. The area is organized into more intimate seating areas by using level changes and open partitions. However, the space maintains an open stadium feel through the use of an open grid ceiling and translucent barricades.

Memorabilia provided by the NFL is encased in display cases throughout the facility, creating a “museum like“ look. In addition, there are a series of football icons throughout creating a truly unique and exciting environment: from the playmarks on the floor, to the goal posts defining the different seating areas, to the logo tabletops of each NFL football team.

To accentuate the food and beverage service, a small snack bar is provided at the entrance for “to go” finger foods. A sizable retail venue featuring apparel and items from every NFL team are housed in lockers.
