AAD Wins Top Notch Contracts For
First Quarter 1998

Scottsdale, AZ, April 4, 1998 — AAD, architects and space designers for some of the world’s best known retail entities, have won a roster of new contracts for the first quarter of 1998 that include appointments from Host Marriott Services, Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc., Jose Cuervo and the Los Angeles County Zoo.

AAD is working with long-time client Host Marriott Services as the corporation continues branding the retail and food services in airports throughout the nation. The newest projects include a prototype sports bar with a pro basketball theme. AAD will also be working with Host Marriott Services to re-design all of the food service concessions at the Miami International and Sacramento airports.

A joint venture between Jose Cuervo and Host Marriott Services is also on the drafting table. A themed prototype of a “Tequileria” is part of Host Marriott Services’ branding focus and will debut in Detroit in Spring 1998.

Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc. has named the firm to roll out an innovative fashion retail store concept aimed to appeal to the chain’s new target market segment. Just after announcing quarterly sales increases of 50% last month, the burgeoning company has planned fifteen stores for the first phase of the project and are scheduled to open in the Spring of 1998. AAD has worked with Pacific Sunwear since 1982 to keep the company’s retail image fresh and appealing to the company’s young consumer demographic.

The Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association, Service System Associates and Service America have appointed AAD to provide a new look to their existing food service and retail areas at the legendary Los Angeles Zoo. The project is based on the addition of the Mahale Mountain Chimpanzee exhibit; the two million dollar remodel includes two restaurants. AAD’s merchandising expertise was also called upon to revitalize the productivity of their retail mall areas at the entrance and exit of the zoo. The additions and improvements are scheduled for completion by August 1998.
